PMIS have the UK’s longest running course on managing benefits and has developed a variant of our Benefits Realisation training course tailored based on many deliveries to the UK’s NHS (¹). The course deals with the subjects of benefits identification, planning and realisation of value to the broad stakeholder groups across the NHS, using a case study of an NHS change programme throughout the course (or your case studies can easily be incorporated instead).
It will show how to conduct benefits planning in healthcare and how to structure and present business cases around benefits of real value to key stakeholder groups.
Proven One Day Course – UK’s longest running course
We have the UK’s longest running course (2003) and prove every month that it does not take 3/5 days to cover this topic. The feedback at the foot of the page here also shows that in one day it is totally possible to deliver a course that provides real practical help which can be put into immediate use.
The course will demonstrate very clearly:
- how to identify real benefits in healthcare, including service improvement programmes;
- the relationship between benefits identification and planning and programme and project lifecycles and how and when benefits identification and planning must occur within change programmes;
- how to develop business cases that demonstrate real benefits, not just target financial savings;
- how to develop a consolidate benefits realisation plans into a live management process;
and therefore how to increase the benefits from change programmes by an order of magnitude.
NHS case study – or use your own :
The course uses real case studies relating to healthcare and recent NHS initiatives. This allows delegates to look at administrative, financial and clinical benefits in the context of a service improvement / change programme. The course uses real case studies for all the practical sessions and can also include a case study (project) of your choice at no extra cost.
Or use your own project / change programme
We can also use a project/ change programme that you are currently involved in or planning. We can even do this with us needing any prior preparation making this a very cost-effective solution.
Fixed delivery cost – great value
We do not charge per delegate – we deliver courses for up to 12 participants for a fixed fee including all our expenses, often for the same as the cost as sending one delegate on a 5-day course.
Course delivery format:
The course can be delivered on-site and we can adopt any change programme / project that you are currently involved in as the basis of all practical sessions, without involving any additional costs.
Delivery on site to groups of up to 10 people is an extremely effective way of training your staff in the skills of benefits realisation, while at the same time making real progress with the task of benefits planning and management on a real programme in your organisation.
